An Occupy Wall Street protester caught last month with an unlicensed handgun in his rental van is in jail — for now.
Ink-bedecked tattoo artist Joshua Fellows, 32, was cuffed and hauled into a holding cell yesterday after prosecutors told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Carol Berkman that, in allegedly possessing the gun, Fellows was in violation of a 2010 order of protection issued in Ohio.
Berkman hiked bail from $25,000 to $35,000, and Fellows was taken into custody after pleading not guilty to criminal possession of a weapon, which carries a mandatory minimum jail sentence of 3 1/2 years.
