PA execs subpoenaed
TRENTON — Four Port Authority honchos were slapped with subpoenas yesterday as part of an ongoing wasteful-spending probe by New Jersey Democrats.
State Assembly Transportation Committee Chairman John Wisniewski said they failed to respond to repeated requests for data on toll hikes, political hiring and a canceled multibillion-dollar rail tunnel.
“We gave the Port Authority numerous chances to cooperate, and time and time again it failed to adequately do so,” Wisniewski said.
PA Executive Director Patrick Foye, Deputy Executive Director Bill Baroni, board secretary Karen Eastman and FOI administrator Daniel Ruffy must respond on Nov. 8.
The PA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
