PA gets new chairman
Former New Jersey Attorney General David Samson yesterday was named new chairman of the Port Authority.
Samson, who was nominated for the job by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, will oversee a $7.2 billion budget for the bistate agency, which is in charge of JFK, La Guardia and Newark airports, the PATH rail line, the George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln and Holland tunnels and other crossings.
He replaces Anthony Coscia.
