PA tries $hame game
The Port Authority — which for years shrugged off some of its worst toll evaders — is now trying to embarrass offenders into paying up with a new “Hall of Shame” feature on its Web site.
The agency’s most- wanted list — expected to debut by the end of this week — comes just days after The Post reported it was blowing off more than $2 million in unpaid tolls and fines by failing to take the worst of the worst to court.
“I think, frankly, the Port Authority has been a little too lackadaisical about this,” Executive Director Pat Foye said in an editorial-board meeting with The Post. “I think we have an obligation to collect every dime of revenue.”
