Two thieves held a woman at knifepoint and forced her to withdraw $8,000 from her bank account before snatching her rings in a broad-daylight Bronx holdup this week, cops said.
The 56-year-old victim was walking on the Grand Concourse near East 149th Street in Mott Haven around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday when the strangers — a man and a woman — approached her, police said.
The pair flashed a knife and forced the woman to walk to a nearby ATM, where she removed $8,000 from her account, cops said.
The duo snatched the wad of cash, in addition to two rings the victim was wearing, cops said.
The male and female suspects are described as between 35 and 45 years old. NYPDPolice released surveillance images of the two on-the-loose suspects late Wednesday in hopes of tracking them down.
The male suspect is described as between 35 and 45 years old, with a light complexion, standing around 5 feet 8 with a slim build.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.
The female suspect is believed to be around the same age, also with a light complexion, standing around 5 feet 6 with a heavy build.
