City Hall may be ready to talk with Times Square business leaders about the route change for the Thanksgiving Parade, but it’s not going to back down on the switch to Sixth Avenue.

“That’s not going to happen,” Mayor Bloomberg declared on his weekly radio show when asked if the current route through Times Square would be retained beyond this year. He sees it lasting for at least the next two years.
