A parent allegedly attacked a school safety officer this morning at PS 288 in Coney Island, sending her to the hospital for treatment of a shoulder injury.

It was unclear what sparked the brawl at the elementary school at 2950 W. 25th St., which houses 546 pupils, in Brooklyn.

Cops questioned the parent, LaToya Patterson. It was not immediately known if she would be charged.

Another security officer at the school said the injured guard returned to work after she was taken to Coney Island Hospital for treatment.

Principal Joelene-Lynette Kinard did not immediately return a call for comment.
