Parent council elections are getting a do-over after Department of Education officials admitted to flubbing the process the first time.
Parents had complained that eligible parents had been left off ballots and that officials hadn’t communicated properly about the process.
Now, all parents will be able to make advisory votes online between May 18 and May 25, while parent teacher association officers can cast votes from May 27 to June 3.
Community Education Councils set school zoning lines and advise the DOE on school policies.
