Turns out he really is a madman. A Staten Island schizophrenic accused of butchering his parents and then fleeing to Israel last year has been found mentally unfit for trial.

Citing a determination by two court-appointed psychiatrists that Eric Bellucci, 31, can’t understand the charges against him or assist in his defense, state Supreme Court Justice Leonard Rienzi yesterday ordered him locked up in a high-security state psychiatric facility.

Bellucci is charged with two counts of murder for the Oct. 13 stabbing death of his parents, Arthur, 61, and Marian, 56, in their Annadale home.
