Nearly three years after two of their children were brutally killed, Kevin and Marina Krim have announced that they are expecting a baby boy.
“Marina is pregnant with a baby boy, due in late January,” the couple shared on their Facebook page Friday night.
Two of the Krim’s children, Lulu, 6, and Leo, 20 months, were allegedly killed by their nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, in the family’s Upper West Side apartment on Oct. 25, 2012. Their third child, Nessie, then 3, was at a swimming lesson at the time. No trial date has been set.
The couple also welcomed their son, Felix, in October 2013.
“With each new baby, we feel a special and closer connection to Lulu and Leo, who are a constant presence in their siblings’ looks, gestures and voices,” they added in the announcement.
Kevin and Marina launched a nonprofit, the Lulu & Leo Fund, in honor of their slain children, to raise money for children’s art programs.
