The distraught parents of missing New Jersey woman Stephanie Parze say they’re “hoping for a miracle,” even as their daughter remains missing for nearly a month.

Sharlene and Edward Parze told NJ.com in a new interview that they’ve been sleeping on air mattresses and bean bags in the living room of their Freehold Township home so that they could be close to the door in case their 25-year-old daughter comes home.

“We haven’t slept upstairs since she went missing,” Sharlene told the news outlet. “Not until [Stephanie] comes home. You never know if there’s a tap on the door or her walking in. It’s too far away in the bedroom.”

Stephanie, who worked as a nanny and beautician, was last seen Oct. 30 leaving her parents’ house after she and a few family members returned from a psychic show at the Stress Factory in New Brunswick.

The woman’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, John Ozbilgen — whom authorities called a “person of interest” in the disappearance — hanged himself last week.

Edward says the nights are the hardest as he and his wife wait to one day see their daughter’s face again.

“The nighttime is like nights of terror. Last night was horrible. You wake up in sweats, you can’t sleep,” the dad told NJ.com. “When you do fall asleep, you’re not really sleeping, you’re waiting for the door to chime.”

But Stephanie’s parents remain hopeful that they will see her walk through their door again.

“All we’re concentrating on right now is keeping the momentum going,” Edward said. “The more it’s out there, the more likely it is somebody will see her or send us something that we can find her.”

A fifth civilian search for Stephanie is planned for Tuesday at Durrand Park in Freehold.

“The unknown is the worst,” he told the news outlet. “We’re hoping for a miracle.”
