Since opening in September, Judith Kaye HS on the Upper East Side has had no phone number listed on its Department of Education Web page.
Parents who called 311 out of desperation were given a number to the chambers of the state’s former chief judge, for whom the school was named, according to court sources.
Kaye, who passed away last year, was a vocal proponent of keeping struggling kids out of prison.
Her chambers are currently occupied by Judge Janet DiFiore, who has been bombarded with up to five misdirected calls a day.
“It’s classic New York City bureaucracy where parents are trying to reach the school where their children are and are left in limbo,” a court source said.
The DOE finally posted the number online on Wednesday after The Post called for comment — (212) 369-1509.
