The parents of a Staten Island boy who suffered a facial fracture and lost several teeth after being hit with a line drive off an aluminum bat are suing the company that made it.

Helene and Eric Seltzer claim in a new Brooklyn federal lawsuit that the bat maker, Combat Sports, should have known that the model was too powerful for Little Leaguers like their then-10-year-old son, Brandon.

The boy was pitching in a 2009 Staten Island game when a line drive hit him in the face, dislodging several teeth and fracturing his jawbone.

The family is seeking unspecified damages.
