A second person has died in Wednesday’s fatal Park Slope blaze that killed one other, according to police and sources.
The 22-year-old woman, identified by sources as Destiny Marmolejo, died Wednesday after a two-alarm fire in a four-story building at 155 Fifth Ave., near Lincoln Place in Brooklyn, according to police.
Police identified the man as 22-year-old Steven Munoz, according to authorities.
When firefighters arrived just after 2 a.m. they found a man and woman unconscious in an apartment on the top floor, officials said. Earlier reports that the man was 37 years old was incorrect.
Both were rushed to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where the man died shortly after and the woman died later on Wednesday, according to police.
The FDNY had the fire under control around 3 a.m.
