A squabble over a parking spot turned downright medieval, when an edgy driver attacked a man with a sword in New Jersey, according to a report.

The violence erupted last Wednesday near North 9th Avenue and Knopf Street in Manville, when a 40-year-old man carrying a 4-foot-long contractor’s level began arguing with Jared Razzano, according to NJ.com, which cited the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

The unnamed man made the mistake of using the level to attack Razzano — who pulled out his sword and started swinging, authorities said.

“The slashing caused the victim serious bodily injuries to his head and arm,” Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said in a statement to the news site.

Razzano was arrested after the brawl and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The man with the level was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
