BUFFALO — A JetBlue flight from Boston headed to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Monday was diverted to Buffalo after a false bomb threat was called in.
Flight 923 was diverted to Buffalo at around 8:00 a.m. after a woman called from the Boston area to report that there was a bomb on board the plane, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reported.
The FBI said the threat was related to a domestic dispute.
The plane landed safely in Buffalo at 8:25 a.m., Transportation Security Administration (TSA) spokesman Greg Soule said in a statement.
The 83 passengers on board were then taken off the flight and brought to a safe location while police dogs searched the plane. Nothing dangerous was found in the sweep.
One female passenger was detained after the landing and questioned by FBI agents in Buffalo.
Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Police Chief George W. Gast said the incident posed no danger to passengers or the public.
