An MTA bus driver was attacked by a man in The Bronx early Wednesday, police said.

The bus was near the corner of Eastchester Rd. and Waters Pl. when a man, believed to be a passenger, dug his fingernails into the driver’s face and scratched him around 5:50 a.m.

The attacker fled the bus, and is still on the loose, cops said.

The driver was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with minor injuries.

It’s not clear what prompted the incident, officials said.
