A 66-year-old pastry-shop owner was killed when he was struck by a Mercedes while crossing a street in Brooklyn Heights Sunday night, cops said.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was attempting to cross Clinton Street near Atlantic Avenue when the 26-year-old driver plowed into him.

“We were just praying. Then we came out, and he was already laying out. He was dead already,” said a family member who asked not to be identified. “He’s an old man. He came here almost when he was a child. He’s from Syria.”

Police said the driver had the right of way.
