Talk about agita.

Gov. Paterson treaded into Andrew Cuomo’s traditional territory tonight – a pricy Italian-American group’s dinner in Manhattan – and came face-to-face with the man who unleashed his likely Democratic primary rival on the world.

Paterson showed up at dinner – hosted by the Italian American Community of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut – last night around the same time as former Gov. Mario Cuomo.

The ex-and-current Gov. both hobnobbed in the VIP room at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Midtown and shared a cordial hello.

Also saying ciao at the massively attended event was former Sen. Al D’Amato and former Mayor David Dinkins
