ALBANY — Ex-Gov. David Paterson is “joining the faculty” at NYU.

Appearing yesterday on WOR Radio, he promised to reveal details tonight at the Greenwich Village school.

“I thought I was going to sit in the sun, but I’ve come back,” said Paterson, who exited the political arena on New Year’s Day as Gov. Cuomo took over.

The move to academia shouldn’t come as a surprise. Paterson repeatedly cited such a move as a potential fallback in the weeks before Jan. 1.
