An NYPD patrol car was set ablaze outside a Staten Island police station early Wednesday, police sources said.

A passerby saw the car burning in front of the Patrol Borough Staten Island building on Hylan Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. and ran inside to alert cops.

Officers extinguished the blaze within a few minutes, sources said.

Both the burned vehicle, and a nearby, undamaged police car reeked of gasoline, the sources noted.

Police are still investigating, sources said.
