UTICA, NY — There was a little something extra in the paychecks of more than two dozen city of Utica employees.

The Observer-Dispatch reported that more than 300 city workers with direct deposit had the amount of their paychecks taken out of their bank accounts last week instead of deposited.

In correcting the mistake, 29 employees received double their normal paychecks.
