The $1 billion federal lawsuit against the Mets’ owners over their Bernard Madoff money is reaching the bottom of the ninth.

A judge could rule as soon as Monday about tossing all or part of the legal action, ESPN reported last night.

Mets owners Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz and other relatives are being sued by Madoff victim trustee Irving Picard to recover alleged “fictitious profits” they are accused of making off investments with the Ponzi schemer.
