A hit-and-run driver fatally struck a pedestrian Monday night in Downtown Brooklyn, police said.

Latchman Singh, 34, was crossing the street near DeKalb Avenue and Flatbush Avenue Extension at 7:45 p.m., when he was mowed down in the crosswalk, cops said.

Authorities said the motorist fled the scene, leaving Singh lying unconscious in the street.

First responders rushed Singh to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cops could not immediately provide a description of the vehicle that leveled the Queens man.

Police briefly questioned a 22-year-old man thought to be the callous motorist, but let him go after determining the damage on his Toyota Camry was inconsistent with the accident, sources said.
