A man was killed when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Queens early Sunday morning, police said.

The 54-year-old pedestrian was crossing 153rd Street near Hillside Avenue in Briarwood around 12:40 a.m. when he was hit by a dark-colored Honda Pilot with New York license plates. The driver of the SUV then kept going, traveling west on Hillside, police said.

First responders discovered the man lying in the street with severe bodily trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s name has not been released pending family notification.
