An elderly man lost control of his car in Queens yesterday jumping the curb and killing a woman who was walking on the sidewalk, authorities said.

Mary Gater, 60, was standing on the sidewalk on Jamaica Avenue near Sutphin Boulevard around 11:35 p.m. when the Chrysler 300 careened into her, cops said.

She was taken to Jamaica Hospital where she died, police said.

The 85-year-old driver remained at the scene of the accident and police do not suspect any criminality.
