A man crossing the street was killed when a driver slammed into him in Brooklyn early Saturday morning, police said.
The pedestrian, 31, was attempting to cross Linden Boulevard near Hendrix Street in East New York at about 5:30 a.m. when he was struck by a white Ford van traveling east, according to police.
He sustained traumatic injuries to the body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 73-year-old man, remained at the scene after the incident. No arrests have been made, but police said the investigation is ongoing.
