A man was hit and critically injured by a van on the Upper West Side Monday night, officials said.

The 59-year-old victim, identified by sources as Maurice Grun, 59, was struck while crossing at Broadway at West 62nd Street at 7:10 p.m., according to the FDNY.

“He was crossing the street with a big jacket over his head. It was raining and it was very hard to see,” said a witness, Carlos Garcia.

“Very bad accident.”
