A Queens pedestrian is clinging to life after a motorist crashed into him as she tried to avoid a pothole, police said Tuesday.
The accident happened at 9:15 a.m. in Jamaica when the driver, a 39-year-old woman, swerved to avoid a pothole at 123rd Avenue and Merrick Boulevard, cops said.
The victim, a 26-year-old man, had been standing between two parked cars outside the Better Body Auto Collision shop at the time, police said. The pedestrian was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition.
Cops said it wasn’t immediately clear if the driver actually struck him or if she hit one of the vehicles, which then crushed him.
There were no other reported injuries.
