A peeping fotog can take snapshots of his neighbors through their windows — because laws governing the “disturbing” practice are so outdated, a Manhattan appeals court ruled Thursday.
Tribeca lensman Arne Svenson was sued by neighbors after they learned that he’d been photographing their family. Svenson then exhibited the shots in New York and Los Angeles.
A lower court sided with the photographer, and the ruling was unanimously upheld by the Manhattan Appellate Division Thursday.
But Justice Dianne Renwick urged lawmakers to take up the matter, noting that relevant case law dates back to 1902.
