Pension cuts OK: poll
ALBANY — New Yorkers overwhelmingly back Gov. Cuomo’s law trimming pensions for new government workers, despite fierce opposition from labor unions, a poll released yesterday found.
The Siena College survey found 70 percent support the rollback of pensions, with only 26 percent opposed.
Respondents also gave a 41-to-26 percent OK to the $132.6 billion state budget.
