A Queens doctor who was injured while working out is suing an exercise-equipment manufacturer for pain and suffering.

And his wife is also suing — for loss of her husband’s “services.”

Sekhar Upadhyayula was using the doorway-mounted Perfect Pullup when one of its handles broke, sending him crashing to the floor, he says in the suit, filed April 16 in Queens Supreme Court.

He sustained serious injuries to both knees, and that has affected his anesthesiology practice, said his lawyer, Jay Mayesh.

The suit claims the device was “defective, unsafe and poorly labeled.”

And wife Rainu Kaushal, also a doctor, says the loss of her husband’s “companionship, services and society impaired and depreciated the marital association.”

Perfect Fitness, which markets the Perfect Pullup, did not respond to an e-mail.
