This thief is a real stinker!
A bandit has stolen thousands of dollars in perfumes and colognes from pharmacies across the city, cops said.
Most recently, the man entered a Rite Aid on Manhattan Avenue near Meserole Avenue in Greenpoint on Jan. 10, broke a lock and swiped various fragrances before fleeing, cops said.
A surveillance image shows him five days earlier inside a Williamsburg Duane Reade on Bedford Avenue near North 3rd Street, where he used a tool to pry open a locked fragrance display case and made off with colognes and perfumes worth about $3,427.
And back on Dec. 15, he walked out of a Ridgewood Walgreens with stolen perfumes inside a shopping cart, according to police.
In four separate incidents last month and in late November, the thief targeted the fragrance sections at pharmacies in various Manhattan neighborhoods — Kips Bay, the East Village and Murray Hill, cops said.
He is about 40 years old, 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, last seen wearing a black jacket and a red or burgundy winter hat, according to police.
