A person was struck and killed by a subway in Manhattan on Thursday, authorities said.
The rider was hit by an uptown 3 train at the Upper West Side’s 72nd Street station shortly after 12:45 p.m., according to the MTA and FDNY.
A police source said cops could not tell by looking at the body what gender the person was, but it appeared to be a suicide.
During the police investigation, all 1, 2, and 3 trains are skipping the 72nd Street stop.
Uptown 2 and 3 trains are running local from 14th Street to 96th Street.
And some downtown 2 and 3 trains are running local from 96th Street to Chambers Street.
