OMAHA, Neb. — A Phoenix-bound jet landed safely at Eppley Airfield in Omaha after a passenger reported seeing or smelling smoke.
The Delta flight from JFK airport in New York landed a little before 12:30 a.m. CST Monday in Omaha.
Omaha television station KETV says the plane was checked for fire or smoldering materials, but nothing was found.
Passengers were offered hotels rooms for some sleep and food vouchers before resuming their journey later Monday.
Delta representatives did not immediately respond to phone messages left before business hours by The Associated Press.
