Police have released a video and photo of the getaway vehicle involved in the drive-by shooting of a mother standing next to her two young kids in Far Rockaway, Queens.
The NYPD is now hoping the public can help catch the gunman.
The unsuspecting 28-year-old mom was standing outside with her two young children, ages 2 and 5, when she was shot, police said.
The baby was inside a stroller when someone opened fire from a black Acura MDX just before 6:45 p.m., striking the woman and a 44-year-old man who were with the children in front of an apartment house at 1502 Mott Avenue, police said.
Neighbors said Saturday that the mom used to live at that building. It was unclear why she was there Friday.
The woman was hit twice in the back and once in the right arm, while the man suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm, police said.
The children were not hurt.
The Acura then fled southbound on Mott Avenue, according to police.

The mother’s 2-year-old and 5-year-old children were not hurt during the drive-by shooting. Wayne CarringtonBoth victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Jamaica Hospital by EMS, cops said. They were listed in stable condition.
