A New Yorker trying to capture the surfing action in Long Beach, LI, on Sunday with her cell phone got a little too close to her subjects — and had to be rescued after a rogue wave slammed into her and sent her flying into a jetty.

Robin Cembalest was in the ocean off Lincoln Boulevard around 9.a.m. when she was caught in the strong surf from Tropical Storm Hermine, which was hundreds of miles offshore.

Suddenly, the wave crashed into her — and she was quickly sucked in towards the shoreline as her body dragged up against the jetty.

Cembalest somehow managed to hold her breath — and her phone — until she could be plucked from the rough waters. She suffered some broken bones.
