A potbelly pig was found roaming the streets of the Bronx — and now he’ll live out his days at a farm upstate.
The good kind of farm upstate, that is.
Two good Samaritans spotted the 2-year-old porker, now dubbed Kalamazoo, meandering in the Bronx on Tuesday and managed to corral him into a crate before calling the police.
Cops took Kalamazoo to Animal Care and Control Centers of New York, where the 60-pound porker was given a checkup.
On Thursday, workers there bade farewell to their Babe-like charge and sent him off to Pets Alive Animal Sanctuary in Middletown, NY.
“Welcome to Pets Alive, our new piggie Kalamazoo! Stay tuned for his Bronx Tail, a story of his wandering and rescue from the streets of the Bronx,” the group posted to its Facebook page along with a video of the oinker being unloaded from a truck.
