Discount carrier Spirit Airlines canceled about a dozen flights out of La Guardia and other airports yesterday when pilots walked off the job in a contract dispute.
It was the first pilots strike in the country in five years.
Spirit customers headed to the Caribbean and Latin America were offered refunds and a $100 credit toward future flights.
