One day, New Yorkers being accosted at ATMs could secretly alert police — by punching in their PIN codes backward.

Councilman Peter Vallone Jr. is pushing for a feature that would alert police dispatchers that the withdrawal was being made under duress.

The security upgrade would cost $25 per machine.
