This plan really backfired!

A homeless man ripping out pipes to sell for scrap to fuel his drug habit accidentally blew the front off a Staten Island home, authorities said yesterday.

Michael Reyes, 24, removed an active gas line in an apartment under renovation, and his pal lit a cigarette, cops said.

The burned duo was caught Wednesday.
