The NYPD Animal Cruelty Investigation Squad is investigating a possible dog-fighting ring after several pit bulls attacked their owner inside his Brooklyn apartment, partially severing his arm Wednesday, police said.
The attack occurred around 8:50 a.m. inside the unidentified man’s Flatbush home, cops said.
His arm was halfway bitten off and the bone was exposed, police told reporters on the scene.
Police hauled out seven pit bulls from the Flatbush Avenue residence near Avenue I and brought them to the ASPCA in East New York, police said.
The owner was taken to Kings County Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
No arrests have been made.
