Federal officers assigned to guard courthouses will be reminded that people can shoot pictures and videos in public spaces outside the buildings under a settlement announced yesterday by the New York Civil Liberties Union and the Federal Protective Service.

The group filed suit on behalf of Antonio Musumeci, a New Jersey photographer who was arrested for videotaping outside Manhattan federal court.
