An American Airlines plane bumped into another aircraft as it was backing up from a gate at LaGuardia Airport Tuesday, according to Port Authority officials.

The plane’s wingtip clipped an American Eagle aircraft at about 1:40 p.m., forcing passengers to take alternative flights.

No injuries have been reported.
