A small plane made an emergency landing along the side of a road in West Islip, Long Island Thursday afternoon.
It is not clear how many people were aboard the plane or their conditions.
The emergency landing occurred on John Street in the Suffolk County town. The red, white and blue plane appeared intact on a grassy area.
Republic Airport and MacArthur Airport are within miles of the landing site.
