A “likeable” mobster hopes his devotion to family and friends will outweigh his crimes of extortion, loan-sharking and bookmaking.

Reputed Gambino crime-family captain Louis Mastrangelo yesterday submitted more than two dozen letters — including two from granddaughters who miss their “Poppop” — in a bid for leniency when he’s sentenced next month.

Defense lawyer Eric Franz described Mastrangelo, 67, as “likeable, pleasant and respectful” in the Manhattan federal court filing, adding, “It has been a true pleasure to represent him.”

Franz also argued that Mastrangelo’s “advanced age and medical conditions” — which include prostate and bladder cancer — call for minimal punishment.

Mastrangelo, who was busted in last year’s massive Mafia crackdown, faces four-plus years in the slammer under terms of his plea bargain to racketeering conspiracy.

One of the alleged members of his crew, Todd LaBarca, is charged with murder.
