A careless but very lucky plumber struck gold in March, winning a $136 million jackpot on a Powerball ticket.

Lottery officials will hand over one of those coveted oversized checks Thursday to the still unidentified man, who bought the ticket at a 7-Eleven on Page Avenue on Staten Island on March 14.

“The lucky pipe fitter unknowingly left the only ticket to match all six numbers from that night’s drawing pinned behind — what else — a pipe in his basement,” state lottery officials said.

Staten Island native Chris Itri was working behind the counter at the 7-Eleven that Saturday, but has no idea who purchased the golden ticket.
