Police recovered a handgun from a 17-year-old fare-beater in Brooklyn, cops said Monday.

Transit officers spotted Sophia Ashford slipping past the turnstile without paying inside the Kingston Avenue and Throop Avenue station in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 3:40 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

The plain-clothed officers walked over and asked the teen for her identification but when she didn’t have any they placed her under arrest, law-enforcement sources said.

Police searched her bag and found an unloaded .32 caliber handgun, cops said.

Ashford was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and theft of service.
