SKANEATELES, N.Y. — State police in New York have identified the body of a woman found in a car submerged in Skaneateles Lake.

State police say the body of 41-year-old Wendy Sherman, of Auburn, was pulled from the car on Saturday. Police say the submerged car was discovered by a man launching his boat near the marina.

Police are continuing to investigate how the car ended up in the lake.
