New York State Police confirmed today that a body found two weeks ago in rural Pennsylvania is that of Laura Garza, the beautiful aspiring dancer who was last seen leaving a Manhattan club with a convicted sex offender.

The Texas-born Garza, 25, was last seen Dec. 3, 2008, leaving Chelsea hotspot Marquee with Newburgh-resident Michael Mele, the son of a MTA cop with a history of troubling sex attacks.

Garza was living in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, at the time of her disappearance and was spotted on surveillance camera leaving the club.

Mele, a prime suspect in her disappearance, is in state prison on a parole violation.

Authorities, however, never had enough evidence to charge him with her murder.

In the months following her disappearance, teams of investigators and volunteers combed the woods of upstate New York but to no avail.

Her family always had faith they’d eventually have closure.

“We are speaking to the investigators every weekend, and they are sending out like 40 dogs to look for my sister,” Garza’s brother Nicholas told The Post last year. “We feel that they are really trying to get to the bottom of what happened.”
